After making the Prototype wine rack, I realized that the wine racks would require over 1,000 dado cuts and I would have to make over 500 little 3/4" x 3/4" stick, plus the frame. This configuration would have given me room for about 240 bottles of wine. The cost of the wood would have been in excess of $125.00.

I looked at several different designs, everything from a wine rack design to using PVC sewer pipe and cutting to 9" lengths. As of today, I believe that the most cost effective, and esthetically pleasing design would be making cubicles on 45 degree slant out of 3/4" oak plywood. This design will hold about 250 bottles.
